There were two boys who had grown up in the city and had never seen a wild animal in its natural habitat before, and they were excited about visiting their uncle's farm for the first time because they were finally going to have a chance to see real live rabbits and deer in the wild.
Once they got to the farm, and their uncle finally gave the boys permission to explore it, they set out and began walking across the fields. Eventually, as they were walking along, the boys came across a set of tracks, and they surmised that if they followed the tracks, they would find the animal that had left them.
One of the boys felt certain that the tracks had been left by a deer, but when he said so, the other boy disagreed and said the tracks had to have been left by a rabbit. So the boys stopped and argued until they were hit by a train.
