Fed up!!Well I am just fed up with the owner of a beagle. A couple of weeks ago I found a beagle wandering my yard, at about 4a.m. I wasn't, to say the least, happy about the strange dog howling under my bedroom window. So I went out there to see what was going on. The dog came right up to me and was wanting a good pet, I then saw the dog tags. I called the owner to report the dog missing. The address was 15 miles away!! This dog had traveled.
Well I got intouch with the owner and she didn't seem suprised, or disturbed, she just told me her father takes care of the dog and will be right over. She didn't thank me or sound happy that her dog had been found at all!! So her father, who was about 80! came over and picked Baisley up.
Well this has happened about 2 more time since, their phone number is on my speed dial.
This morning (3rd time) I got fed up!!! I call the local animal control and hopefully they will pick the dog up and call the owner in ElkRiver and get them the hell out here. I cannot believe the father would keep letting the dog out without a leash here. When he know that the dog had a tendency to wander off!! And piss other homeowners off!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just had to vent!!

hmm...this sounds familiar. My next door neighbors black lab Abby always got out. They had her chained to a tree (in a fenced yard) and she wanted attention so bad she would yank until she broke the chain and come to my house since I was always out playing with my dogs. I would let her stay for about an hour then take her back and they just let it happen over and over. Abby found a new home with people that love her.......Her previous owners are none the wiser.

Well atleast they had that dog chained up. This guy must just let Baisley out, I don't ever see a broken chain hanging off of her. And I've taken walks by his house and they don't have a fence of anykind.

That's bad. Some day the owner will lose that dog if he still had the dog.

Well like I said I reported it as a stray this time and the OWNER, who lives 15 miles away, will have to come and claim him. I think the fine for that is about $125.00. So maybe this will enlighten the owner that her dad is unfit to take care of the dog.
