My little guard dogs

I was woken up this morning at 5:30 am to my dogs barking. Cinnamon has a bunch of different barks and this one is the one she does right before she bites (if you don't back off and never to anyone I know or she is meeting only to invaders). I was awake and confused in a matter of one second, and so was Sophie as she ran for it and jumped the baby gate so fast that she knocked it over. I finally moved to my window (since that is where they were barking and growling) to look outside and.... it was just a herd of deer. They must have been right next to my window as I have deer in my yard everyday and if they are in the middle of the yard or near the road the dogs don't care. I looked at my dogs and told them not to bark at the deer anymore...lol. At least I know if anyone is at my window I will be alerted to it and my dogs will be mean to whoever it is. They may be small but they are protective.

Yea, I live in an area with patches of woods. We have deer, skunk, armadillos, opposums, and raccoons. I have a family of coons that live in my attic and I've rescued armadillos out of swimming pools.

Wow. That's a lot of wild life. Here we don't have opposums or like skunks or anything. Only birds, squirels, and bugs

The only opossums I ever see are dead on the road Sad.

Wow armadillos? You live in Texas? I saw a wild armadillo there once...they're really cool.

We have a TON of wildlife here in MN. We have peragrin falcons in the backyard, deer (although we don't see many) woodchucks, bevers, groundhogs, bears (up north), and many more!!

Yeah we have beavers, and coyotes (not in my area) falcons, owls. I've had lots of owls find their way into my garage and couldn't get out. I had to catch them (watching out for the sharp talons and beak) to let them go outside of the garage. I have pics of me and my armadillo, though they aren't very good. I call him mine, but he is off in the wild somewhere.

There used to be foxes where I lived But I never seen them. Only my parents. I never seen a fox.

That sounds like something my dogs would do.. My dog Sally barks at ground hogs that live behind our fenced yard.. I'm sure there are foxes back there, there has been atleast 1 deer, garter snakes, rats, opossums, RED FOX squirels(I haven't seen a live one back there YET, but found one as fresh road kill then I skinned it).. And we live in the middle of a big city Shocked We did go in the woods about 20 minutes away and saw a herd of deer, chipmunks, turkey, red fox squirels(for anyone who has never seen one they are almost cat sized) Smile
