I was woken up this morning at 5:30 am to my dogs barking. Cinnamon has a bunch of different barks and this one is the one she does right before she bites (if you don't back off and never to anyone I know or she is meeting only to invaders). I was awake and confused in a matter of one second, and so was Sophie as she ran for it and jumped the baby gate so fast that she knocked it over. I finally moved to my window (since that is where they were barking and growling) to look outside and.... it was just a herd of deer. They must have been right next to my window as I have deer in my yard everyday and if they are in the middle of the yard or near the road the dogs don't care. I looked at my dogs and told them not to bark at the deer anymore...lol. At least I know if anyone is at my window I will be alerted to it and my dogs will be mean to whoever it is. They may be small but they are protective.

Yea, I live in an area with patches of woods. We have deer, skunk, armadillos, opposums, and raccoons. I have a family of coons that live in my attic and I've rescued armadillos out of swimming pools.

Wow. That's a lot of wild life. Here we don't have opposums or like skunks or anything. Only birds, squirels, and bugs

The only opossums I ever see are dead on the road .
Wow armadillos? You live in Texas? I saw a wild armadillo there once...they're really cool. _________________ Dog- Ana

We have a TON of wildlife here in MN. We have peragrin falcons in the backyard, deer (although we don't see many) woodchucks, bevers, groundhogs, bears (up north), and many more!! _________________ Kitties

Yeah we have beavers, and coyotes (not in my area) falcons, owls. I've had lots of owls find their way into my garage and couldn't get out. I had to catch them (watching out for the sharp talons and beak) to let them go outside of the garage. I have pics of me and my armadillo, though they aren't very good. I call him mine, but he is off in the wild somewhere.
