During Thanksgiving holiday our bunnies managed to get past the welded wire fence protection around our young lime tree. It was badly de-barked and there is little hope it will survive the attentions of the bunnies.

So please, if you have free roaming backyard bunnies make sure the plants you want to save are adequately protected. I made the mistake of not spiking the fence into the ground, the fence shifted somehow and presented an opportunity for the bunnies to have a new taste treat.

It is fortunate that the lime tree was small and not that expensive. One thing for sure, as with many lessons the learning is a painful experience.
